The Singaporean team Bleed Esports was expected to be one of the main favorites in 2024, but expectations were not met. After their performance this season ended, the organization decided to part ways with most of its Valorant roster.
Today, on their official social media channels, team representatives shared sad news with their fans. It has been announced that Derrick "Deryeon" Yee, Jorell "Retla" Teo, and Kim "Zest" Gi-seok will join Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker, who has been inactive for several months, and are preparing to leave the team.
The rise of Bleed Esports
As mentioned earlier, before the competitive season began, the team was at the center of discussions. This is because the team won VCT 2023: Ascension Pacific at the end of 2023, securing a slot in the VCT partnership league for 2024/2025. Additionally, the organization signed one of the most famous players on the professional Valorant scene, Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker. These factors made Bleed one of the most popular teams, but fans' expectations were not fulfilled.
Disappointing results in 2024
Despite an ambitious start and the presence of a well-known star, the team did not meet fans' expectations and did not win any titles in 2024. Bleed placed 10-11th at VCT 2024: Pacific Kickoff, missing the first Masters. The club also placed 9-11th at VCT 2024: Pacific Stage 1, followed by 11th place at Stage 2. These results prevented the team from qualifying for the current World Championship, ending their season.
After these changes, only 2 players remain active on the team, but whether they will continue with the club is still unknown. It is worth noting that Bleed's slot in the VCT partnership league is valid until the end of 2025, so it is possible that the organization will present a renewed roster before the start of the next season.
