The regular season in the Chinese region continues, and today the fourth week of play at VCT 2025: China Stage 1 has begun. In the first match, we witnessed a clash between FunPlus Phoenix and Dragon Rangers Gaming, and below we’ll tell you how it ended.

Tense match

Both teams are considered equal, taking into account last year’s statistics and achievements, so the match was quite interesting. On the first map, Ascent, chosen by Dragon Rangers Gaming, the situation was quite tense. The teams traded rounds and the first half ended in a close fight. In the second half, the tense battle continued, but in the end, Dragon Ranger Gaming secured a 13:11 victory. The second map was Haven, chosen by FunPlus Phoenix, and the situation there was different from the previous one — the team couldn’t show the same level of play on their home ground, so Dragon Ranger Gaming easily took the map, and the match ended 2:0.

As a result of the match, the teams changed their positions in the group standings. Now each of them has only one match left, which will take place in the final fifth week of the group stage at VCT 2025: China Stage 1.

VCT 2025: China Stage 1 is taking place from March 13 to May 4 in a LAN format at the VCT CN Arena in Shanghai. Twelve VCT China partner teams are competing for three spots at Masters Toronto, as well as for China Points needed to qualify for the upcoming Champions.
