At the current stage of the VCT 2024 Masters Shanghai in China, the Fnatic team suffered defeats against Gen.G and FUT Esports, finishing the tournament without a single win. Special attention has been drawn to comments directed at the team's captain, Boaster, following his poor performance at the tournament.
The sharpest comments were aimed at Boaster after his match against FUT Esports, where Fnatic lost 1-2. In this match, the captain demonstrated the worst result on his team, scoring only 24 kills with 41 deaths. On the final map, Ascent, his performance was particularly weak, with only 2 kills and 15 deaths.
In response to the ongoing criticism on social media, Boaster teammate and commentator, Yinsu, made a sharp statement:
I've been silent for a long time about the ominous behavior of the community, but this is just incredible. This comment was left under a post where someone is LITERALLY crying. It seems like they hope and wish for tragedies in our community. When will...
Boaster mother, Susan, also responded to Yinsu's tweet, calling for more friendly comments:
Please, be kind to each other. My son is very diligent and proud to be the captain of Fnatic. The players and coaches are wonderful, they deserve love and support. No one deserves blame, and I haven't seen anyone more disappointed than their fans.
Please all be kind to one another. My boy @OfficialBoaster, works so hard, loves being the IGL for @FNATIC. Players & coaches are all amazing & deserve kindness & support. No one is to blame & no one is more sad and disappointed than they are for themselves and the fans😥 https://t.co/rECGWNRslt

Erik, who previously served as a coach at NAVI, as well as teammates Derk and Chronicle, also reacted. They urge to stop slander and insults.
Watching the Fnatic press conference, I vividly remember moments when I was there - both victories and defeats. I want you to remember that players and coaches invest the most passion in the team themselves. Please, show respect.
Watching the Fnatic press conference reminds me so much of the times I were there, in winning moments and losing moments.

This guy is one of the most hard working people I’ve ever seen and brings massive energy to the team outside and inside of the game.
I’ll always be grateful for him because I don’t think I’d be the person/player I am today without him
In addition, other Fnatic players have also expressed their support for Boaster, calling for a more friendly attitude towards their captain. They emphasize that in Valorant, not only individual mastery is important, but also team play and interaction with teammates.
