Turkish organization FUT Esports has announced roster changes ahead of VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 2, bringing a world champion back to the active lineup and appointing a new head coach. The update was shared via the club’s official page on social media platform X.
The announcement revealed the team’s full starting five and coaching staff for VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 2, including Mehmet "cNed" İpek — the former Champions winner, who returns to competitive play after a six-month break. The team also introduced its new head coach: Ivan "Johnta" Shevtsov, a Ukrainian coach with experience in the Pacific region, previously working with ZETA Division and FENNEL.

The announcement makes it clear that Ata "ATA KAPTAN" Tan has lost his spot on the starting roster, with cNed taking his place. Interestingly, cNed himself was previously replaced by rising Turkish talent Doğan "xeus" Gözgen. ATA KAPTAN’s recent performance was underwhelming — over the past 60 days, he played last 15 maps with an average ACS of just 182, which likely contributed to the roster change.

VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 2 may be FUT Esports' next and possibly final VCT event this season. The tournament offers two slots for Champions 2025 in Paris, a $250,000 prize pool, and valuable EMEA Points that will determine two additional qualified teams.
