Cloud9 reveals a five-player roster and a new coach for VCT 2024

The representatives of the American organization Cloud9 have introduced, on their official Twitter page, a five-player roster and a new coach who will compete for the club in the upcoming VCT 2024 season. Three new players and a coach have joined the two players who were already playing for the team.

Three new players have joined the roster: Maxim "wippie" Shepelev, Anthony "vanity" Malaspina, and Francis "OXY" Hoang. Out of them, only Anthony "vanity" Malaspina has Tier-1 scene experience, having played for Cloud9 from 2021 to 2023. As for the other two players, even though they had experience playing for G2 Esports in the past, they have only competed in the American Challengers League. It will be interesting to see if the experienced players can share their knowledge with the newcomers and help them fully unlock their potential.

Updated Cloud9 roster

  • Erick "Xeppaa" Bach
  • Jake "jakee" Anderson
  • Francis "OXY" Hoang
  • Anthony "vanity" Malaspina
  • Maxim "wippie" Shepelev
  • Ian "Immi" Harding (Head Coach)

The first tournament for the revamped roster will be the Red Bull Double Agent. However, it's important to note that this will be a show match against another team with a double agent trying to sabotage the teams in-game. Hence, this event shouldn't be taken too seriously. The first major hurdle for Cloud9 will be the TEN Valorant Global Invitational. Detailed information about this tournament can be found in another one of our articles. Apart from these events, the team will participate in at least two more tournaments during the 2023 off-season, signifying that Cloud9 is planning to prepare well for the 2024 regular season and aim for better results than in 2023.
