Despite predictions from VALORANT fans and analysts favoring FUT Esports, Team Liquid proved otherwise — they destroyed their opponents on Lotus (FUT’s pick) with a crushing 13:1 score and secured a hard-fought victory on their own pick, Haven, with a 13:9 result. This was TL's second win in three Group Omega matches, allowing them to temporarily take the top spot. Their next match is scheduled for April 16.

Team Heretics vs Team Vitality

A similar situation happened in the second match — Team Vitality were seen as the favorites, but Team Heretics managed to regain their form reminiscent of late 2024 and closed the series 2:0. They won on Haven (their pick) with a score of 13:10 and dominated on Icebox (Team Vitality’s pick) 13:6. This marked their third win in the tournament, securing first place in Group Alpha for Team Heretics. Additionally, this was Team Heretics’ first-ever win against Team Vitality, having lost their previous seven encounters.

VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1 runs from March 26 to May 18 in LAN format at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin. Twelve partnered teams from VCT EMEA are competing for three slots at Masters Toronto, as well as for valuable EMEA Points needed to qualify for the upcoming Champions.
