Cloud9 moves Vanity to reserve

On August 10, North American team Cloud9 announced the transfer of Valorant player vanity to the reserve roster. The player will be released as a free agent without compensation, and his contract will be terminated on October 7.

The 25-year-old vanity began his professional CS career in 2016 and transitioned to Valorant in 2021. He joined Version1 in February 2021 and, within just six months, helped the team qualify for the VCT 2021 Stage 2 Masters as representatives of North America.

In August 2021, vanity signed with Cloud9, where he achieved victory at the VCT 2021 NA LCQ and placed 8th at VALORANT Champions 2021. However, the team's results declined in 2022, and after a disappointing performance at the VCT North America, vanity left the team in March 2023 following a setback at VCT 2023 LOCK//IN. He later moved to Shopify Rebellion but left the team three months later without significant success in North America and rejoined C9 in September 2023.

Upon rejoining Cloud9, vanity showed strong results at the Red Bull Home Ground 2024 tournament in Japan, securing second place. However, at the VCT Americas 2024 Kick-off, he placed 7-9th, and in Stage 1 and Stage 2, he placed 6th, which prevented the team from qualifying for international tournaments. In the last three months, his K/D ratio was 0.87, and his performance continued to decline.

Cloud9 commented on the decision to move vanity to the reserve roster as follows:

We are exploring various options and actively reorganizing the team. We plan to participate in off-season tournaments before the start of VCT 2025 and will continue to keep you updated on our news. Thank you for your support.

The roster of Cloud9 after vanity move to the reserve will be updated and announced later.
