Rumor: FURIA to Rebuild Roster, Keeping Only One Player

FURIA Esports is set to undergo a major roster overhaul in Valorant after a disappointing first half of the season. According to TheSpike Brasil, the organization plans to retain only one player from the current lineup — Olavo “heat” Marcelo. The rest of the current roster will either be benched or leave the team.

Heat joined FURIA in December 2024. Prior to that, he played for MIBR and KRÜ Esports. With MIBR, he played from November 2022 to September 2023 but did not achieve significant results in major tournaments. At KRÜ, he competed from March to November 2024, where the team qualified for VALORANT Champions 2024 and finished in 9th-12th place.

The decision to rebuild came as a result of the team's poor performance in 2025. The team placed 9th-12th at the VCT 2025: Americas Kickoff and then concluded their run in the group stage of VCT 2025: Americas Stage 1 without a single victory.

Current FURIA Roster:

  • Olavo “heat” Marcelo
  • Luis-Henrique “pryze” Viveiros
  • Rafael “raafa” Lima
  • Ilan “havoc” Eloy
  • Khalil “khalil” Schmidt
