Yesterday, the BOOM Esports team suffered a defeat against Fancy United, the future champions, and exited the ESL Clash of Nations 2023 tournament. This resulted in them missing the chance to qualify for the main event set to kick off in late November.
The "Wolves" couldn't withstand the opponent's pressure and lost by a narrow margin of 13-11 and 13-10 on the Lotus and Split maps. Despite the team not making it to the world championship, the performance of the BOOM Esports team remained consistent throughout the 2023 season. Their setback at ESL can be seen more as a minor disappointment. The collective fought admirably and came close to victory, which they ultimately didn't achieve.
Despite a lighthearted photo the players posted on the club's Twitter page, the team didn't dwell on the defeat and announced their commitment to preparing for the upcoming season.
We faced a setback in the final stage and were eliminated from the ESL Clash of Nations. Lesson learned, the guys will try to reconsider and readjust. We'll come back stronger!
