A Twitter user with the username MeeZee shared a video in which the artificial intelligence successfully plays Valorant. The footage demonstrates the shooting process in a standard match where all actions are controlled by AI, not by a human player. According to MeeZee, the AI started its testing at the Iron rank but ascended to Platinum in just 2 days. It's a remarkable achievement, especially considering that users don't have to do anything but run the bot. Notably, the video displays the AI not only shooting accurately but also using various skills, indicating successful training.
In the past, we have written about bots in ranked matches, which players use to achieve high ranks. You can read about this in our article. However, while these bots are easily detected by Riot's anti-cheat system, handling AI will be more challenging. If it behaves like a genuine player, using skills and navigating the map, it won't raise suspicions. MeeZee noted that with the rising popularity of AI, many developers are starting to enhance their anti-cheat systems, and Riot Games is likely no exception. Regular players are outraged by the success of artificial intelligence, and they are starting to question if some players in ranked matches are already using AI.
