Apeks will allocate resources to the Valorant team, reducing investments in Counter-Strike and Fortnite

On May 28, the Norwegian organization Apeks announced its decision to focus financial resources on the Valorant team. In a statement published on social media, the organization explained that due to "challenging economic circumstances," it has to reduce investments in other areas.

As a result of this decision, the Counter-Strike team will temporarily remain without funding, and the Fortnite team will be disbanded. Apeks stated that as part of its strategy, it will devote all attention and resources to the success of its Valorant team for the remainder of the season.

The Apeks team has been competing in Valorant since early 2023 and actively striving for a place in the VCT EMEA. In 2023, they became the champions of Challengers Polaris, which allowed them to qualify for Ascension, where they reached the final but finished second. In 2024, the team once again dominates the league, winning the first split and performing well in the second without experiencing a single defeat.
