On June 7th, the EMEA-based esports team Team Liquid announced an affiliated partnership with the team Apeks.
Currently, Team Liquid roster includes three players who previously competed for Apeks during the 2023 season: Enzo, Keiko, and Mistic. In turn, the Apeks roster includes former Team Liquid player soulcas. These player connections between both teams facilitated the partnership.
The affiliated partnership, introduced in the 2024 season, allows international league teams to establish partnerships with Challenger and Game Changers teams. Both teams are expected to collaborate not only in content creation but also within the "two-way player" system, allowing international league players to participate in Challengers tournaments.
We're happy to announce our affiliation with @apeksgg as of today!

Team Liquid, which acquired key Apeks players during the offseason, showed poor results at the VCT EMEA 2024 Kickoff and VCT 2024 EMEA Stage 1 tournaments, failing to qualify for international competitions. Last season, the team also did not achieve victories in international tournaments. The upcoming goal is to perform successfully in Stage 2 and participate in the championship.
Apeks, on the other hand, competes in the VCL 2024 Northern Europe Polaris tournament. In Split 1, they won without losing a single map in the regular season and playoffs. In the current Split 2, Apeks leads with a 4-0 record and is considered the main contender for the Ascension victory.
