On January 12th, the first day of the Superdome 2023 - Egypt tournament took place, which faced serious participant difficulties before starting. Two invited teams, due to visa issues, were unable to participate in the event. Despite the organizers' efforts to resolve this issue, they were unsuccessful. Therefore, they had to promptly find two teams to replace the absent participants.

Despite the difficulties before the start of the tournament, the first game day was successful: all matches took place without problems for the viewers, which cannot be said for the event participants. The team Apeks started their game day with two losses, almost nullifying their chances of reaching the grand final. On the contrary, BBL Esports began the day with two victories, guaranteeing them a place in the grand final.

As a result, BBL Esports and Team Falcons, each with two victories, advanced to the grand final, while Apeks and NASR Esports, with only one win each, will compete for third place.

The second and final game day will take place tomorrow, January 13th. After its conclusion, viewers will find out who will become the champion of one of the last tournaments in the offseason, and the teams will then start preparing for the regular season.
