Assassin's Creed Shadows photo mode may be the best one to date since the introduction into the AC franchise a few games back. This allows for players to explore their creativity as they take and edit dvisually stunning photos that can be saved for personal backgrounds. The mode is getting better and better, and in Assassin's Creed Shadows, Ubisoft takes the mode to a whole new level. Stay tuned as we explore how to take pictures in Assassin's Creed Shadows. 

What is photo mode in Assassin's Creed?

It's very simple, photo mode in AC Shadows allows you to take pictures while playing the game. Whether you can seen an epic landscape, or you're in the battle of an epic duel, you can take a picture of virtually anything you want in Assassin's Creed Shadows. On top of that, images you take can be seen by other players on their maps, allowing for them to interact with them like you would on any other social media platform.

How do you take a picture on AC Shadows?

Taking a picture on Assassin's Creed Shadows could not be simply. All you have to is click the two analog sticks on your controller, or F3 if you're using a mouse and keyboard. Once you have activated photo mode, the game will be paused in real time and frozen at the last frame. Meaning if you are attempting to get a photo of two swords clashing together at the same time, you'll be able to do just that. 

Photo mode on Assasin's Creed Shadows has various ways you can edit an image, giving you the tools to create some visually stunning pieces of art. There are four menus to play around with once in Assassin's Creed Shadows's photo mode:

  1. Camera
  2. Lens
  3. Filters
  4. Decorations

Camera

The camera tab comprises of three different options, Camera Roll, Focal Length, Cycle Grids. Camera roll allows you to rotate the picture up to 90 degrees. The Focal Length allows you to adjust the zoom for the photo, whether you want a close up shot or from a distance. And finally, the Cycle Grids provides you with various grid layouts, as you would in real photography. 

Lens

This tab allows you to adjust the focus and the grain of your photo. If you want to adjust the focus of the image to blur out the rest of the image while bringing your character to the forefront, you can do so by turning on the Depth of Field.

Filters

The filters tab is likely where most of the players who have no idea about photography will spend their time playing around with the settings. The filters tabs allows you to adjust settings such as the brightness, the contrast, the exposure, and much more.

Decorations

Finally, the decorations tab allows you to add fun little details such as borders, stickers, and more to your photo. For example, if you wanted to add the Assassin's Creed Shadows logo to the corner of your image, to give it more of a poster feel, then you certainly can do that by going to the stickers portion of this menu. There are plenty of Japanese themed borders to choose from if you ever wanted to turn this image into a picture frame.

Finally, once you are satisfied with all the changes made to your image, press A on the controller to take the photo.
