Assassin's Creed Shadows has been in the stores for just under a week and many are already getting their hands deep into the heart of the breathe taking storyline. Assassin's Creed has evolved from a linear map that is rather small to this gigantic open world experience, filled with plenty of sidequests and other fun acitivieis you can getu p to as you explore the world. To help you along the way, players will be given scouts, these can help you locate targets and much more.
Let's explore how to increase and refill your scouts in Assassin's Creed Shadows.
What are Scouts in AC Shadows?

Scouts are companions that will help you in various ways throughout your countless hours playing the single player campaign. The first thing that Scouts will help you with is locating targets. If you're not clued into how this game works, one of your primary tasks is hunting down countless NPC's and defeating them. There are plenty areas of the map undiscovered, which will make tracking your targets that much harder. Scouts, however, can be sent to the target area to scope out the exact location of your target.
Resources are a large part of Assassin's Creed Shadows. They will help you improve your base, improve your abilities, and much more. Scouts will be able to help you out with larger chests that requires a Scout to unlock. Upon unlocking the chest, you can order the Scout to return the resources to your base. Lastly, if you are caught by one of the enemies, the areas alarm bell will be raised, granting you a wanted level that does not go away by itself. You can use Scouts however to remove the wanted level.
How to refill Scouts in Assassin's Creed Shadows

Thankfully for players, you don't have to spend real-life money to replenish your Scouts in Assassin's Creed Shadows. Scouts firstly replenish automatically once the season changes in-game. This event occurs every couple of hours give or take, so if you want to go the patient route, that is the way to do it. However, playing the game will automatically move the season forward as there is a season meter that goes up the more you play the game, so that couple of hours of waiting can turn into minutes.
Alternatively, you can pay some in-game money to get them back. This comes through the base-building feature that is used in Assassin's Creed Shadows. To replenish your Scouts in AC Shadows, you need to build a Kakurega, these buildings allow you to restock on ammo, Rations, and will refill your Scouts back to full.

How to upgrade Scouts in AC Shadows

While it's enough to get you going, you only start Assassin's Creed's story with three Scouts, which you will eventually come to find it's not the best as the story progresses and the areas get that much harder. Therefore, you're going to need to upgrade the number of Scouts you can use. And thankfully, there is a way you can increase the number of Scouts you can have in Assassin's Creed Shadows.
This ties back to the base-building portion of Assassin's Creed Shadows and that's with the Study. In AC Shadows, you can make upgrades to the buildings that you create. With the Study, for each upgrade you make, the number of Scouts you can use will increase too.
