[Exclusive] xfl0ud after won TYLOO: "They are the best team in the tournament in terms of shooting"

We had a chance to speak with HEROIC CS2 player Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç following their victory over TYLOO in Round 4 at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Stage 2. In an exclusive interview for Bo3.gg, Yasin reflected on the issues his team faced during the match. He also shared his thoughts on TYLOO’s playstyle and the future potential of the Asian region.

What went wrong at the start of Ancient? It seemed like you were rushing too much, going for force buys round after round and playing full-on aggression.

I think our gameplan was good against them but they were shooting harder than us, specially Jamyoung was destroying me on aim duels. It doesn't matter if we choose to play agro or passive. But I guess we could win the Ancient and close it earlier if we were winning some more duels.

In the end, you had to go into overtime. Surely that wasn't something you were prepared for?

I mean from our side we do not expect or do not expect a overtime, if it happens we will try our best to finish it on our way but they did some changes up in overtime which we weren't ready for and they just played a good overtime against us.

You struggled on the CT side and ended up losing your map pick. What was said during the break between maps?

We were prepared for all 3 maps and Train was their weakest on that 3 map, individually i felt like we gotta win this Mirage so on Train we will have easier time and it happened that way. We didn't have negative thoughts or mood after the 1st map tho.

The second map was also very tense and close. What helped you finally close it out and tie up the series?

We were winning more duels on Mirage and getting that duels with teammates which helped us to win more rounds, even we weren't in advantage situations we managed to win some round by that.

On the third map, we once again saw the momentum shift back and forth. TYLOO looked like they were falling apart after the first half, but still fought until the very end. How difficult is it to close out maps like that?

We played pretty good T side, our gameplan worked perfect against them and after halftime we started to the half by losing pistol and mostly losing pistol rounds can make it draw in the round but once we started to get gun rounds our plan was ready.

You lost all six pistol rounds. Did that make the match much harder for you?

Of course, winning pistol round gives you extra 2 rounds in some cases and if you win both pistol it is 4 rounds already but if you are loosing then you need to take risk to buy or not to buy and play with low utility in first gun round which can be favor of the enemy but even we lost all pistols we were solid on our force buys and if i need to be honest, it is better to win 2nd rounds rather than pistol.

Your individual performance wasn’t the best today. What happened?

I knew they will be a hard enemy, specially individually they will stand hard. I prepared that way, played extra Faceits, did extra aim routines but it is what it is, they were shooting harder and i started to  think how i can help my team if i am not able to get enough kills? I focussed on offering ideas, doing extra dead talk, do sacrifices for sharper players and I do think it worked well.

How would you describe TYLOO’s playstyle?

I think they play with a structure that makes them readable at most of the points but it really does not matter if they are destroying your head… I think they are the best team in the tournament in terms shooting.

Do you think the Asian region can overtake the Americas and become the second strongest region in the world?

I do think American CS is going down slowly, maybe SA CS is showing some present but NA CS is a bit silent, they have to get a lot of EU players to be good honestly. But if we need to talk about Asian region, i think they are already showing very good performance for to be 2nd best CS region in the world but i do think they lack of player amounts like incoming players, specially young generation.
