Ancient Replaces Anubis in Competitive Mode of CS2 — Update from 08.08.2023

Valve Corporation has released a patch for Counter-Strike 2, in which they replaced the map Anubis with Ancient in the shooter's competitive mode. The developers also updated these locations and improved their optimization.

• Various adjustments to lighting

• Added missing collision detection to some debris

• Various adjustments to C4 animation
• Water rendering performance improvements

The maps Anubis and Ancient were added to CS2 with the patch on August 3. Later, the developers released an update addressing several issues within these locations.
