3DMAX champions of the Skyesports Championship 2024

The fun Skyesports Championship 2024 tournament in India is over, with the French from 3DMAX becoming the champions. In the finals they managed to defeat The Mongolz with a score of 2-0 and get 120.000$ and a beautiful trophy.

3DMAX in the last round of the group stage lost to Eternal Fire with a score of 16-14, because of which they took the second place and got to the quarterfinals, where on the way to the final they defeated the team of the legendary Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander, ENCE, after which they defeated Aurora in the semifinals.

The Mongolz, in turn, also took the second place and got to the quarterfinals where they defeated AMKAL. After that they defeated the Turks from Eternal Fire, with whom they had less problems than AMKAL. The final promised to be exciting and there was no clear favorite, which added to the interest of watching it.

The final started with Anubis, selected by 3DMAX, where the French, after losing the pistol round, got back into the game thanks to an outstanding effort from Graviti, who secured the half 9-3 on the defensive side with a 17-6 statistic.

A well played 1v3 from Ex3rcice in the second pistol round was the last moments for 3DMAX and they won their map with a score of 13-4. The Ancient map, chosen by The MongolZ, started much more competitively, but 3DMAX, losing 1-4, were able to win 7-5 by the end of the first half. However, 3DMAX did not lose a single round in the second half, finishing the game with a score of 13-5 and becoming the champions of the Indian Tournament.

The title of best player of the tournament was shared between Pierre “Ex3rcice” Bulinge and Bryan “Maka” Canda, both of whom finished the tournament with a 6.8 rating with minimal statistical differences. The Mongolz received $70,000 for their second place finish.

This tournament was likely the last for each of them before invitations to the RMR Closed Qualifiers are announced. And a good performance for both, could provide enough points in the Valve rankings to qualify.
