Valve has published an updated world ranking of teams in CS2, and the biggest surprise was the fall of NAVI. The Ukrainian organization lost its position and now ranks 9th, which puts it in the risk zone. If the team does not improve its results in the upcoming tournaments, it may not get a direct invite to BLAST Major Austin 2025 and will be forced to play regional qualifiers.

Earlier, b1t, a NAVI player, warned in an interview that even being in the top 2 of the rankings, the team cannot feel safe. His words turned out to be prophetic: the decline in NAVI's position in the ranking puts their participation in the major in question.

At the same time, Vitality strengthened their positions, MOUZ remain among the leaders, and Astralis showed significant progress, moving up to 10th place.

Movement in the rankings: who has risen and who has lost ground?

• Vitality (+2 ) - returned to the second place after stable performances in recent tournaments. Their victory over the top teams allowed the French to bypass MOUZ and FaZe.
• FaZe (+3) - the American organization demonstrates a stable level of play, which allowed them to rise to 4th place in the world rankings.
• Astralis (+5 ) - one of the main breakthroughs of the last update. The Danes have improved their results and entered the top 10, beating such teams as paiN and Virtus.pro.
•   G2 (-5 ) - a serious decline in results and the missed PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 led to the loss of a place in the top 5. The team needs a reboot before key tournaments.  
• Liquid (-5 ) - lost the status of the best team in their region, losing to paiN.
•    NAVI (-3 ) - uncertain results at recent tournaments and skipping PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 dropped the team to 9th place, which jeopardizes their direct invite to BLAST Major Austin 2025.  
•  SAW (+9) - a confident performance at the last tournament and reaching the playoffs provided a steep rise for the team.

This list forms the potential participants of BLAST Major Austin 2025, but it is important to understand that the situation can still change. The rankings will be updated on April 7, and until then, teams will have the opportunity to improve their positions or lose their place in the top.

NAVI is in danger: why could this be a problem?

The loss of NAVI's position in the ranking is due to unstable results in recent tournaments and a small number of appearances at tournaments. If the team does not improve their game, they may not get a direct invite and will be forced to go through the RMR closed qualification. This is a big risk because the level of competition in Europe is extremely high.
