A big update has arrived in Deadlock: new matchmaking and penalty system

Deadlock has been tested by players for a long time, and the developers are constantly modernizing and improving the game for the most enjoyable player experience. Recently, they released a large-scale update, which includes many improvements.

The player search used to be very crude and not improved, but now every player can feel the changes in matchmaking and balance adjustments. Equally important is the introduction of player penalties for terrible actions. Also, from now on, the servers work around the clock, so you no longer need to be limited to the server schedule as it was before.

General fixes:

  • Now Deadlock servers are available 24/7.
  • The lane distribution of 1-1-2-2 and 2-2-1-1 will no longer be possible.
  • A group of 6 players will no longer be matched against solo players. This may result in longer queue times for groups of 6.

Deadlock has added a LOW PRIORITY queue and a new Behavior System:

  • The primary way to enter the low priority queue is by abandoning games, but other behavioral violations may also apply.
  • You need to complete a certain number of games (which increases based on how often you are placed in low priority) to return to regular matchmaking.
  • Players may temporarily lose access to certain game features, including matchmaking, voice/text chat, pause, and reporting.

Additionally:
1. Added a new map
2. Improved the game's performance
3. Balance edits

So, the latest Deadlock update has significantly improved matchmaking and gameplay. Round-the-clock servers, a new low-priority queue for offenders, and balance fixes are all designed to improve the player experience. The changes are aimed at ensuring fairness and comfort for all participants in the game, proving that the developers care about the future of their project.
