What are the most useful house party console commands in version 1.4.2?

I’m trying to experiment with the game a bit and have heard the house party console commands changed recently. Any suggestions for fun or essential commands?

Try Rachael.change(top) — great way to toggle outfits

Don’t forget that most commands disable achievements - except for change

You're right — the house party console commands system changed a lot with the new V2 console. To get started, open the console with the key (usually under Esc), then type `help.v2` to see the main commands. Some useful ones include: Rachael.change(top) — toggles her top on/off. You can replace Rachael with any character’s name. characters.change(top) = false — removes the top from all characters. Amy.change(arin_hair_amy) — changes Amy’s hairstyle to Arin’s. Rachael.change.list — shows all compatible clothing/accessories for Rachael. Katherine.change(Katherine_glasses) = false — removes her glasses. Use the = true or = false flags if the command doesn’t toggle correctly. The change command doesn’t disable achievements, so feel free to experiment freely. Also, keep in mind: accessory slots can stack items (like glasses), so remember to remove the previous one first to avoid overlap. Have fun testing — the game’s pretty flexible if you play around with the syntax!

The house party console commands system was revamped in version 1.3+, so some old commands don’t work anymore. Use help.v2 first to see all root commands. One of the most useful is change, which lets you toggle clothes, accessories, and even hairstyles. For example:  Rachael.change(top) — takes off or puts on her top  Rachael.change(all) = true — puts all her clothes back on  characters.change(top) = false — removes tops from everyone  Also, change doesn’t disable achievements, unlike most other commands, so it’s safe to play around. Use list after a character name to see what they can wear, like Amy.change.list.

First things first — hit ~ to open the console, then type help.v2 to unlock the magic. One underrated gem is the change command. Want to test outfits without nuking achievements? Go with something like Stephanie.change(top) or browse options with Stephanie.change.list. You can even batch edit with characters.change(...). Just remember: some accessories love to stack, so clean up as you go unless you want people wearing three pairs of glasses. Experimenting is half the fun.

Here are some of the most useful movement commands in House Party (v1.4.2) that I find super handy for controlling player and NPC positions: player.moveTo() Teleports you (the player) instantly to the specified character. Example: player.moveTo(Ashley); .moveTo() Moves any NPC instantly to another character or location. Example: Stephanie.moveTo(Frank) — Stephanie teleports to Frank. Another one: Katherine.moveTo(player) — Katherine moves right next to you. .walkTo() Makes the character walk to a target instead of teleporting instantly. Example: Amy.walkTo(Bathroom) — Amy walks naturally to the bathroom. These commands are perfect for quick scene setups, roleplay, or testing NPC behaviors. Let me know if you want a list of locations or coordinate examples!

I've been using the console since version 0.7.6, and let me tell you 1.4.2 really limited the freedom. But here’s some cool stuff: emotion (char) (emotion) (intensity), you can force characters to laugh, get angry, feel embarrassed, etc. walkto (char) makes your character automatically walk to someone. warp (char)  instantly teleports anyone to your location. If you get creative with setvar and event variables, you can craft stories way better than the official quests.
