Where to Find All Wolf Statues in Doom: The Dark Ages

It's no secret that Doom: The Dark Ages is filled with mysteries, puzzles, and collectibles that can be easily missed during gameplay. This can be an issue for those who love to complete games 100%. One challenge that can complicate this goal is finding all the wolf statues.

What are Wolf Statues in Doom: The Dark Ages

In Doom: The Dark Ages, wolf statues serve as protective barrier structures. As long as they exist, you won't be able to claim the rewards "held" by other types of statues on the levels. To do this, you need to find all the wolf statues and destroy them, but with one caveat: this can only be done using the shield saw.

All Wolf Statues in Doom: The Dark Ages

There are a total of 15 wolf statues in Doom: The Dark Ages. They are located in only 4 out of the 22 chapters of the game, specifically:

  • Chapter 6 – Siege Part 1 (3 statues)
  • Chapter 9 – The Ancestral Forge (3 statues)
  • Chapter 16 – The Kar’Thul Marshes (5 statues)
  • Chapter 20 – Resurrection (4 statues)

The order in which you find and destroy them on the level doesn't matter. However, in our guide, we have outlined the simplest routes. For ease of navigation and statue hunting, use the map images. Just head to the spot marked by the player marker on our map and start your journey from there (or you'll find the statue right there).

Chapter 6 – Siege Part 1

In the sixth chapter of Doom: The Dark Ages, wolf statues appear for the first time (there are three here in total), and the game clearly aims to gently introduce you to the game mechanics associated with them. All statues are placed quite close to each other around the first sentinel shrine you will encounter.

Wolf Statue #1

The first wolf statue is located near the place with the ruby. Orient yourself on the map and the image below, descend the hill, and go left. You'll immediately find the spot you need. Use the shield saw to throw it and destroy the statue — it can't be done any other way.

Wolf Statue #2

Right from the previous spot with the statue, turn left and go a bit forward. In your line of sight (also to the left) should be a rock with a tree trunk. The statue is placed right under them — in a kind of cave.

Wolf Statue #3

From this same spot, turn right (from the entrance to this "cave") and go forward. On the rock, you'll immediately see the third wolf statue — destroy it as well.

Reward: After destroying all three statues, return to the starting point from which we began the search. The knight monument with the ruby will unlock access to the gemstone — a key material for weapon upgrades. That's your reward.

Chapter 9 – The Ancestral Forge

Wolf Statue #4

This time, the statues will be a bit harder to find since they are not placed next to each other as in the previous chapter. To find the first statue of the ninth chapter of Doom: The Dark Ages, go to the point indicated on the map. Directly opposite you will be the wolf statue.

Wolf Statue #5

Again, orient yourself on the map provided below. Enter the doorway lit by torches. At the end of the room will be the next wolf statue.

Wolf Statue #6

Stand in the same position as indicated on the map image. Look up — you'll see the wolf statue on the rock. Throw your shield to destroy it.

Reward: After destroying the third statue, turn left. You'll see your reward — a Wraithstone.

Chapter 16 – The Kar’Thul Marshes

Wolf Statue #7

The first statue in Chapter 16 The Kar’Thul Marshes is located on the edge of a cliff. Just go to the point indicated in the image — and you'll find it.

Wolf Statue #8

The next statue is located in a pit. For this, head to the indicated point, approach the edge, look right down — and you'll see it.

Wolf Statue #9

As in previous times, go to the location on the map. Around a small body of water and an earthen ring, there will be a statue. However, be cautious — tentacles emerge from the water!

Wolf Statue #10

At the indicated spot, you'll see blue jars with restorative resources. Right behind them, on a lower level, will be the wolf statue on this level.

Wolf Statue #11

The last wolf statue in this chapter is located in a neighboring room, next to the reward location. Go to the indicated place — you'll see a round entrance to a cave. Enter and turn right. Passing through the tunnel, you'll see the wolf statue.

Reward: Now, return to the previous room and claim your reward — another Wraithstone.

Chapter 20 – Resurrection

Wolf Statue #12

The final puzzle with wolf statues is not as extensive as in Marshes, so there will be fewer statues here. From the marker on the map, go straight — and you'll see the statue.

Wolf Statue #13

After destroying the previous statue, turn left from it. Go through the wooden fence and descend from the ledge. Then immediately turn left, hugging the rock, and enter the passage lit by lanterns.

Wolf Statue #14

Continue along the same path — just follow the trodden road. You'll reach a large tree. To the left of it, higher up, you'll see the next wolf statue in Chapter 20 of Doom: The Dark Ages.

Wolf Statue #15

Turn back from the previous spot. You'll see that to the right of the ascent on the path you came, there's a passage to a room. Enter it and go into the tunnel on the right — to the last wolf statue in the game.

Reward: After this, you'll be able to claim the reward — another Wraithstone.
