The Lazer Event in Grow A Garden is one of the few unique events that can only be triggered live by the game developers or an admin.

The developers of Grow A Garden, known as The Garden Game, are well-regarded for their generosity toward the community, often rewarding dedicated farmers with in-game events and new content. Among these rewards are special admin-triggered events that introduce rare fruit mutations.

Unlike regular rotating weather events such as rain and frost, the Lazer Event is manually activated by a game admin. When it occurs, a giant figure of Jandel - the name of the admin - appears in the form of a massive monkey wearing a crown, shooting lasers from his eyes.

Any crops struck by the lasers receive the Plasma Mutation, an exclusive mutation that doubles the value of affected plants. Crops with Plasma Mutations emit a vivid pink glow, which can sometimes be mistaken for the Shocked or Disco effects.

When is the next Lazer Event?

Since the Lazer Event can only be initiated by an admin, its appearance is entirely unpredictable. However, your best chance of catching it is by logging into Grow A Garden shortly before major in-game events are launched. The admin has a history of surprising players with back-to-back Disco and Lazer Events during these peak times.

That said, the last Lazer Event caused the Grow A Garden servers to crash Roblox itself. This happened during the record-breaking launch of the Farm Cosmetics update, which drew nearly 9 million concurrent players. Following the incident, the admin mentioned they might avoid risking another platform crash by limiting such heavy events in the future.

But we never know - maybe Roblox is ready to handle it in the future!
