Fortnite has long been renowned for its vast array of skins and cosmetic items introduced through various updates, events, and collaborations, keeping the game exciting. But what could be more enticing than FREE skins, cosmetics, and rewards that anyone can obtain by completing just a few simple tasks?
This month, Epic Games offers numerous skins and cosmetics that might interest someone—all without spending real money or using in-game currency (V-Bucks). If you're looking to expand your wardrobe with new characters or outfits, this article will inform you about how to unlock all Fortnite skins for free.
Epic Games offers six free skins in Fortnite, five of which are available to all players, while one is exclusive to PlayStation owners. Below is the complete list of skins.
Skin | How to Get | Available Until |
First Order Stormtrooper | Link MyDisney and Epic Games accounts | August 31, 2025 |
Vanguard Zadie | Reach account level 50 by June 7 | June 7, 2025 |
Explorer Emilie | Link LEGO and Epic Games accounts | No restrictions / Unknown |

First Order Stormtrooper
To get the first free skin, First Order Stormtrooper, you need a MyDisney account (create one if you don't have it), and no subscription is required. All you need to do is:
The First Order Stormtrooper cosmetic item will automatically appear in your skin collection in the game, in the Locker section, where you can equip it.
Vanguard Zadie
The next skin, Vanguard Zadie, is available until June 7, 2025. It can be unlocked by earning 50 levels in Fortnite. This can be achieved by completing various quests and challenges.
Explorer Emilie
Another skin, as well as its LEGO version, can be obtained by linking your Epic Games and LEGO accounts. Once you do this, the skins will appear in your gallery.
Mr. Dappermint
The Explorer Emilie skin can also be unlocked in a similar manner. So, by fulfilling the condition for one skin, you automatically receive the other. It's quite simple and straightforward.
Trailblazer Tai
Unlocking the Trailblazer Tai skin in Fortnite will be a bit more challenging, as it requires completing several quests. First, accept the True Explorers Quest Pack in the in-game store. Then, complete the tasks in LEGO Fortnite mode.
1) Invite an NPC to live in your village.
2) Create a short sword.
3) Build a Spinning Wheel.
4) Deal damage to enemy creatures using a Recurve Crossbow.
Shinji
Unlike the previous cosmetic items, the Shinji skin is available only to PlayStation owners with a PS Plus subscription—within the free pack in the PlayStation Store.
In addition to the skin itself, this pack includes the Virtual Servpack back bling and the Crimson Codeblade pickaxe. It seems this offer does not have a specific end date, so it will likely be available even after May.
So that is all how to get Fortnite skins without paying this month. But i you need more cosmetics, Epic Games have something more to offer.
Not all rewards are skins. The game also offers a range of other interesting free rewards—both until a certain date and possibly after May ends.

1. Account Linking
Partner services—LEGO, Disney, and others—often provide cosmetics for simple account linking. No purchase is necessary.
2. Timed Events and Quests
Seasonal events regularly include exclusive tasks with free skins or items. Log into the game during updates and check the Quests tab.
3. Tournaments
Experienced players can earn exclusive skins for high placements in tournaments. Check the Compete tab in the game.
4. Battle Pass
Even the free branch of the Battle Pass offers rewards. If you purchase the pass at least once, you can accumulate enough V-Bucks for the next season.
5. Fortnite Crew
Of course, this is a paid subscription ($11.99/month), but it's worth it: it includes a monthly skin, Battle Pass, and 1000 V-Bucks. If you regularly buy the pass anyway, Crew is a more advantageous option.
6. Giveaways and Promotions
Follow official Fortnite social media, as well as verified streamers. Some of them hold legitimate skin giveaways. Always verify the source for authenticity before participating.
Beware of Scammers!
Websites promising free skins or V-Bucks in exchange for your logins, completing "surveys," or authorizing through suspicious platforms are 100% scams.
Epic Games never distributes rewards in this manner.
Trust only official channels—game events, battle passes, and partner programs with verified reputations.
