In Titan Quest 2, players don't choose predefined classes at the start. Instead, they create a unique character by combining two Masteries, which become available at levels 2 and 8. This system allows for flexible customization of playstyle depending on the player's preferences.
As of Early Access, the game features four Masteries: Earth, Storm, Rogue, and Warfare. These can be combined into six hybrid class combinations.
Earth Mastery
The Earth Mastery revolves around fire and earth magic. It focuses on fire damage, area-of-effect (AOE) explosions, and support abilities like defense boosts and slowing enemies. Earth is suitable for pure spellcasters as well as hybrid melee builds.

Storm Mastery
Storm is all about lightning and ice magic. Its main role is battlefield control and ranged damage. It can freeze and slow groups of enemies or strike them with lightning. Storm is ideal for players who prefer ranged combat and controlling the pace of battle.

Rogue Mastery
Rogue specializes in poison, bleeding, traps, and fast attacks. It’s perfect for players who enjoy tactical strikes, agility, and surprise assaults. Rogue works well in both melee-based combinations and magical hybrids.
Warfare Mastery
Warfare is centered on physical strength, direct attacks, and powerful melee combat. It offers explosive damage, crowd control abilities, and high durability. Warfare is great for playing the role of a tank or front-line fighter.

Mastery System Features
In Titan Quest 2, the character progression system is built around flexibility and freedom. The game doesn't force you into a fixed path or strict specialization. Instead, it lets you adapt your playstyle to your preferences and change it over time.
- Skill points and modifiers can be freely redistributed. This means if a certain strategy or ability combo becomes ineffective or simply boring, you can change it without needing to create a new character.
- Points invested into Masteries can also be refunded. This allows not only tweaking specific skills but also completely changing your playstyle and discovering new approaches to combat and progression.
- The system encourages experimentation. Each Mastery offers unique effects, and combining them creates new damage types, combat roles, and tactical options. You can mix magic with melee, focus on crowd control, poison, elemental power, or raw physical force.
At the time of Early Access launch, Titan Quest 2 offers four Masteries that can be combined into six unique hybrid classes. Each combination unlocks new possibilities and gameplay styles — from magical elementalists to close-range assassins.
Thanks to the flexible system, every player can find their own path — whether through the elements, or through blood, poison, and steel. In the future, more Masteries are planned, which will further expand class combinations and gameplay variety.
