Dispatch Episode 1 Walkthrough

Robert Robertson (Mecha Man), a former superhero who lost his suit, now works as a dispatcher in the SDN (Superhero Dispatch Network). In this episode, you learn the basic game mechanics, meet your first allies, and face choices that affect your relationships with other characters.

Beginning and First Choices

After the opening scene, where Robert talks about his father, the first choice appears:

Question about his father:

  • I love my dad
  • Didn’t know him well
  • He’s gone

This choice has no significant impact on the story.

Balcony and Moral Decision

After a dialogue, the hero goes out onto a balcony with a suspect. Two options:

  • Let Him Drop
  • Pull Him Back

The second option shows mercy, but it does not change the main story—only slightly affects the tone of subsequent scenes.

QTE and First Confrontations

After a series of QTEs, the hero enters a security room and must choose a line:

  • It’s over, Shroud
  • Prepare to die
  • I’m here to f*** you up

These options only affect tone and dialogue, without major story consequences.

Action choice against the opponent:

  • PUNT
  • STOMP

This only changes the scene’s animation.

Press Conference

After the fights, Robert is asked about media reactions. Three questions:

What do you want to say to the fans?

  • I did my best
  • Thank you
  • It was all for you

Are you retiring?

  • Pretty much
  • Not yet

How would your father react if he were here?

  • Answer (positively affects reputation)
  • Leave (neutral)
  • Attack (negatively affects reputation)

This choice can leave a mark in the game.

Street and Fight with Thieves

On the street, Robert sees criminals loading TVs into a truck. Three series of choices:

First dialogue:

  • That’s pretty disrespectful
  • Put it down and leave
  • I was watching that

Second dialogue:

  • I’m Mech Man
  • Someone with nothing to lose
  • Honestly, not sure anymore

These responses only affect dialogue tone, not the story.

Fight options:

  • PUNCH WITH LEFT — hits the opponent
  • PUNCH WITH RIGHT — misses

Hit or miss only changes the animation, not the scene outcome.

First part of the dialogue — any choice has no effect.

Second part:

  • I like helping people — slightly increases relationship
  • I don’t know — decreases relationship
  • Only thing I’m good at — no change

After the bar scene, the hero can choose a nickname for Flambae:

  • Mr. Wet Ponytail
  • Dr. Don’t Do Sh*t
  • Sunglasses at Night Guy

This has no major story impact.

What to throw at Flambae:

  • WATER
  • ALCOHOL

This changes Blonde Blazer’s reaction and scene details.

Romantic Scene on the Billboard

Blonde Blazer invites the hero to a billboard. Dialogues:

Several options have no major impact.

  • KISS HER — improves relationship with Blonde Blazer
  • LET THE MOMENT PASS — a reserved approach

This choice affects the development of the relationship between Robert and Blonde Blazer.

After this, the tutorial begins, where the hero learns to dispatch superheroes to calls based on their stats—strength, speed, intelligence. Mission success depends on selecting the right heroes.

Ending: Scene with the Dog

After the episode, the hero returns home to his dog Beef:

  • GIVE HIM CEREAL
  • Who’s a good boy?
  • It’s gonna be alright

These emotional choices do not have a significant impact on the story.

Depending on the choices made, the story presents the main narrative elements while allowing the player to shape relationships and the main character’s reputation. This episode lays the foundation for future events, and choices made here may have delayed consequences in later episodes, making each playthrough unique.
