Smoggy

Smoggy, whose real name is Zhang Zhao, is one of the few winners of Valorant Champions. He earned this prestigious trophy in Valorant with the EDward Gaming team, which he still represents and is one of the leading players on the Chinese scene. He played his first professional match back in 2020, and his first major club was Team Weibo. The player was born on June 8, 2002. Smoggy age is 22 years, which allows him to remain at the peak of his gaming performance for a long time.

Despite high competition and a limited number of slots for international tournaments in China during the early stages of the discipline, Smoggy attended his first Valorant Champions in 2022 with EDward Gaming, finishing 13–16th place. This was not only his debut World Championship but also his first international tournament. Although the performance was unsuccessful, it provided valuable experience that proved useful in the future.

The year 2024 was a breakthrough in his career: he, along with his team, won Valorant Champions, and Smoggy stats highlighted his significant contribution to this victory. Despite being the team's primary controller, he managed to rank among the top 20 players in average ACS with 213. Smoggy Valorant also averaged 16 kills per map, an incredible result. For this, he received the “Best Controller of the Year” award in 2024 from VCT China.
