Zellsis: "I received offers from teams all over the world but decided to stay in America"

Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro, who joined the North American team Sentinels, shared his experience at the VCT AMERICAS press conference, discussing his entry into Sentinels and expressing his opinions on the strongest teams in the region.

In the previous season, Zellsis played for Cloud9, but the team failed to qualify for the VCT 2023 Masters Tokyo and VALORANT Champions 2023 tournaments. During the offseason, the player joined Sentinels, returning to his former team in August 2022.

Zellsis revealed that he received offers from teams worldwide but chose to "stay in America." He shared that he developed a good relationship with Sentinels since the LCQ 2022, and he feels that his personality aligns well with the team. Describing his decision to join Sentinels as a desire for stability.

Despite being offered the role of a substitute player in Sentinels, Zellsis was aware that playing opportunities might be limited. He acknowledged it was a tough decision, but during training, he developed a strong desire to participate in matches.

Initially, he was a substitute player, but during the offseason tournament, he was included in the starting roster of the team as a controller-initiator. When asked about the starting lineup for KICK-OFF, Zellsis declined to answer, stating, "Let's see how everything unfolds."

Sentinels will kick off their performance at the VCT AMERICAS 2024 KICK-OFF on February 17th and will face LOUD on February 18th.
