Young Valorant player Wedid talks about being diagnosed with cancer

Wedid, who plays for an amateur team known as Turtle Troop, shared his diagnosis of Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Wedid, a 24-year-old player, began his competitive Valorant career in 2020 and has actively competed for teams such as Mamba Mode Gaming, XSET, NRG, and Pioneers. He joined Turtle Troop in January 2023 and continued to perform well despite the amateur status of the team.

Wedid recently finished second in a tournament, defeating strong opponents, but was suddenly forced to leave the roster due to his diagnosis. However, he returned to the team for the next stage of competition.

However, on June 7, the player announced that he had been diagnosed with cancer, sharing the news on his official Twitter page:

Today, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma after undergoing a biopsy of my neck. I want to share this information with those who have watched my matches and noticed my health issues.
Wedid wrote in his announcement

Despite the challenge ahead of him, Wedid expressed confidence in his ability to overcome this period, expressing gratitude for the support.
