Young Japanese organization VARREL signs two new players

Lim "L0B" Byung-gun and Jung "Bangnan" Min-u are joining the active roster of VARREL. The organization's representatives announced this on their official Twitter account, adding that they are preparing the team for the upcoming season.

Current VARREL roster

The organization formed a team for Valorant at the end of December 2022, so while the team is considered young and inexperienced, individual players have some experience. Two members previously performed in the well-known Japanese team DetonatioN FocusMe.

Since its creation, VARREL has participated in two stages of the Challengers League Japan Split 1 and 2. The first stage ended with them in 5-6th place, but the second one went better. The team lost in the grand final to SYSTEM e-Sports and took the 2nd prize.

Will the new players help the team in the next season?

As we mentioned above, the VARREL team is considered young, but this can be compensated by the individual skills of the players. Bangnan during his career managed to be in many teams, the most famous of which is the well-known DAMWON Gaming. Together with them, the player successfully performed at the tier-2 tournament VCT 2022: Korea Stage 2 Challengers, where he took 3rd place.

Unlike his new teammate, L0B did not have such a variety in his past teams, but also made a name for himself on the tier-2 and tier-3 scene. Together with his last team FAV gaming, where he first played as a substitute, and later joined the main roster. Lim took 4th place at VCT 2022: Japan Stage 1 Challengers Playoffs, and later won 3rd place at the Daejeon Valorant Invitational. Also at the Riot Games ONE PRO INVITATIONAL ONLINE show match, he and the team beat Japanese tops from Northeption.

Due to the recent results we described above, VARREL lost the opportunity to continue to perform in the current one. But they do not plan to stop at this, the organization recently signed a new coach, and today two young players, which means they are preparing for the upcoming 2024 competitive season.
