BBL PCIFIC emerged victorious in the Turkish derby against Eternal Fire in the grand final of Challengers League 2025 EMEA #1, bringing them closer to securing a slot for the main event of the year – EMEA Ascension.
Despite 12 participants from five different Challengers leagues, the grand final came down to Eternal Fire and BBL PCIFIC, the only two Turkish teams represented in the tournament. This highlights Turkey's continued dominance at the tier-2 level, while BBL PCIFIC once again proves to be one of the strongest teams at this level. They also reinforce the idea that they deserved a VCT slot in 2024, which was taken from them by Apeks, who won the EMEA Ascension 2024 grand final.
The Challengers League 2025 EMEA #1 grand final was played in a best-of-five format, but the winner was decided in just four maps. The dominance of BBL PCIFIC was evident from the very first map, Lotus, where they secured a flawless 13-0 victory. Eternal Fire managed to take only one map in response, leading to a 3-1 final score in favor of BBL PCIFIC.
