"You started the season without fans, and that's how you'll end it" - Evil Geniuses rapidly losing fans

Yesterday, the American organization Evil Geniuses released a video on their official YouTube channel dedicated to their Valorant team and its path to the championship. After this, the club's fans began to write negative comments and complain about the organization.

The situation caught the attention of well-known Danish journalist Bo Hoogland. He noted that Evil Geniuses did not promote their video on social networks, thus planning to reduce the flurry of criticism, but this did not save them. As a result, in the comments, the club's fans shower the management with negativity and hate. Fans are bringing up old issues related to player contracts and emphasize that the organization is keeping its esports athletes "in a cage."

That day EG came into the league practically without fans, gained fans from various regions over the season, WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP, and now you've gone back. NOBODY LIKES THE ORGANIZATION. Release the players from the contract prison, you don't deserve them. It's madness that EG still has a spot in the franchise, considering what a bad organization it is.

The most incredible story in esports that I have personally ever witnessed. Still get goosebumps when I think about it. Watched every match, bought the jersey, screamed at the end, but the outcome was sad. Give the players what they want. At least they've earned their freedom, right? It's disgusting how they are being treated.

It is recalled that in August 2023, the Evil Geniuses' Valorant roster won the discipline's main tournament - the world championship. Following this, well-known journalist Richard Lewis published an article detailing what is really happening inside the team. According to his own sources, the organization initially did not believe in their own team's victory, but after the players, led by Boostio, won the championship title, they decided to put them "in a contract prison." Evil Geniuses rejected any offers for the players and later decided to cut some players' salaries. Read more about this in our article.

The organization itself has not yet commented on the flood of criticism, but it is worth noting that things are going very poorly for them. Recently, the management announced the disbandment of their Dota 2 squad and the dismissal of many managerial staff, so perhaps in the future, we can expect loud statements regarding the Valorant roster as well.
