Yamada from IGZIST Academy has moved up to the main roster of the Valorant department

The esports team IGZIST, from the Japanese region, announced on April 20th that Yamada has joined their Valorant department. This is a promotion from the academy team to the main team.

The 17-year-old player joined the IGZIST Valorant department's academy team in September 2023. The following year, he replaced xui, who left the starting lineup, and competed on the main stage of VCJ 2024 Split 1 as part of the main team, playing matches against VARREL, Sengoku Gaming, SCARZ. In all three matches, they suffered defeats but gained experience in their first official competition.

Additionally, in IGZIST, Yamada participated in the roster as a flex, playing Skye, Viper, Sova, but before joining the main team, he primarily played as a duelist in high school tournaments, such as Jett, Raze, Reyna, leading the team.

The team plans to compete in VCJ 2024 Split 2, which starts next month. In Split 1, the team lost once and exited the main stage, but can they rise again to the main stage? We will keep an eye on the matches in the future.
