XSET ceases existence? – Head coach and several female team players leave the organization

Yesterday, it became known that Melanie "rise" Tetreault, bunny bee, along with coach Daniel "Danimal" Booth and substitute player Andrew “Soto” Caban are leaving the American organization XSET. Each of the participants announced this on their official social media pages.

Recall that the club's problems began at the end of 2022. After the team took 5-6th place at Valorant Champions 2022, Riot Games announced that they were ending their collaboration with XSET in the American league. The organization said goodbye to all the players and decided to focus on their female team, XSET Purple. Most members of the latter moved to the main team in April 2023 and started playing under the XSET tag. Despite this, the girls could not achieve success; the current season brought the team only one victory at the small tier-3 tournament Alliance Stellar Series #1.

Interestingly, the American organization found it difficult to part with its past. Recently, former main roster players for Valorant, along with their coach, filed a collective lawsuit against the organization. They stated that the company still has not paid the participants their winnings for the championship set of Valorant Champions 2022. Read more about this in our article.

All the players and the coach who left the XSET ranks yesterday have already expressed their readiness to continue their performance on the professional stage. They are open to new offers, and given their experience in such a professional organization, one can be sure that all participants will find a new home in the near future.
