Wolves Esports announced a strategic partnership with Chongqing Lvfa Industrial Group on June 18. The joint venture involves an investment of €23,000,000 to construct a state-of-the-art arena in the Bishan district of Chongqing and to develop a digital ecosystem. This initiative aims to strengthen the club's presence in China and create a new cultural hub in the rapidly growing esports industry.
Since 2023, Wolves Esports has been hosting offline events in Chongqing, attracting around 200,000 participants across 130 events. The investments will focus on two main areas: the construction of a 10,000 m² arena with a capacity of up to 2,000 spectators and the development of digital infrastructure to support the club system and expand commercial potential. The arena is scheduled to open at the end of 2025 and is expected to become a cultural and social attraction in the region.
Fosun Sports, which owns Wolves Esports and the football club Wolverhampton Wanderers, is actively participating in the Chinese expansion. Fosun Sports President Deng Houzhong noted that this move enhances the strategy of integrating esports into urban infrastructure.
Since its founding in 2018, Wolves Esports has become one of the leaders in Chinese esports. Support from both governmental and private sectors strengthens their position in both national and international leagues. One of their sporting breakthroughs was reaching the top 3 at the VALORANT Masters Toronto 2025.
