VCL Northern Europe: Polaris organizers announce significant changes to the League

The organizers of one of the European Challengers leagues, Polaris, have announced drastic changes aimed at improving the league, increasing audience engagement, and attracting new investors.

Issues Facing VCL Northern Europe: Polaris

VCL Northern Europe: Polaris is currently the least popular league among all the European regions, struggling with low viewership and a limited number of organizations willing to sign teams in this area. Recognizing these issues, the organizers have decided to implement significant changes, the first of which has already been announced.

The First Major Change

According to the official statement, none of the teams that participated in the VALORANT Challengers 2024 Northern Europe: Polaris Split 2 will retain their slot for the next season, meaning the league will undergo a complete reformat. From now on, to participate in the league, teams must be signed by professional organizations.
