Issues with dishonest players in competitive shooters have always been present, but different games fight them with varying degrees of effectiveness. Recently, the Valorant community discussed Riot's anti-cheat and compared its quality to Valve's shooter.
On the information portal Reddit, in the largest community dedicated to Valorant, an interesting discussion appeared. In it, a user with the nickname kepler2 reported that they are uninstalling CS 2 due to a significant problem with cheaters and asked Valorant players if this shooter has reliable protection.
I've uninstalled CS2; it's full of terrible cheaters, and that's a known fact. According to the title, I want to know, is the anti-cheat good in Valorant? I like this game, the servers are good, and I hope the anti-cheat works well too?
Following this question, players began a discussion in the comments, comparing the anti-cheat in both games, and it turned out that the majority believe Valorant's protection far surpasses CS 2's in effectiveness. Valorant players shared their experience, almost unanimously reporting that they encounter cheaters very rarely in Riot Games' shooter, "In three years of my playing, I've encountered cheaters 3 or 4 times." In turn, players who previously played CS:GO and later switched to Valorant completely agree with this statement and blame Valve for their terrible handling of the project.
As a result, the community almost unanimously agreed that Riot Games takes the fight against cheaters much more seriously, and Riot Vanguard's anti-cheat works much more effectively than Valve's protection.
