Valorant will be released on PS5 and Xbox on June 15 without gyroscopic aiming function

Riot Games has announced that the beta testing of the console version of Valorant for PS5 and Xbox platforms will begin on June 15. However, developers have explained why the console version will not include the feature of controlling the game view and aiming with the controller tilt (gyroscopic function).

Coleman Palm, Valorant's product manager, clarified this position. Despite the absence of the gyroscopic function, the console version will feature a focus mode, providing instant and precise control. In response to a user's question on the Twitter social network about the reasons for the absence of the gyroscopic function, Palm replied:

The gyroscopic function is not supported in the console version. I understand that it's a wonderful technology, and I would like to use it myself.

He also noted that the Xbox controller does not support the gyroscopic function, and developers wanted to avoid a situation where PS5 would be preferred over Xbox because of this aspect.

The Valorant beta testing on PS5 and Xbox platforms will begin on June 15 Japanese time. Applications can be submitted on a special website, and winners will be able to invite up to five friends using a unique link. It is worth noting that there was a user in the PC version who attracted attention by playing using brain waves, gyroscopes, and eye tracking.
