Just now, the Japanese division of Riot Games shared new details on its official social networks about the upcoming Valorant Pro Invitational 2023. The event will feature four professional teams, but no cash prize will be awarded at the tournament.
Participants of Valorant Pro Invitational 2023
The four invited participants are distinguished by their diversity. Natus Vincere failed the last world championship, finishing in 9-12th place and dropping in the rankings of their region. DetonatioN FocusMe and ZETA DIVISION also did not achieve notable results. In turn, Bleed Esports won the contender’s league in the Oceania region and received a partnership with Riot Games, which moved the Singaporean club into tier-1 league.
As reported by the organizers, the event will take place in a LAN format in Yokohama, Japan, from December 2 to December 3, 2023. There will only be a group stage, with no playoff stage, and the matches will be played to a single victory. As we wrote above, Valorant Pro Invitational 2023 will proceed as a series of show matches, so teams will only compete for the title of the winner, without prize money.
Interestingly, DetonatioN FocusMe and ZETA DIVISION participated in last year's Valorant Pro Invitational 2022. However, both teams turned out to be the weakest among the other participants and took 5th and 4th places, respectively.
