VALORANT Masters returns in 2025, and this time, the main competition arena will be UOB Live Arena in Bangkok. The tournament will run from February 20 to March 2, becoming the first major international event of the VCT 2025 season. Eight best teams will compete for $500 000 in prize money and important VCT points that will affect the qualification for VALORANT Champions 2025.

Tournament format

The tournament will consist of two stages: the Swiss group stage and the playoffs.

The Swiss Stage will take place from February 20 to 24. Eight teams will compete in the Bo3 format. Two victories guarantee a place in the playoffs, while two defeats will mean elimination from the tournament.

The playoffs will start on February 27 and last until March 2. The format is Double Elimination, where each team will have a chance for a second chance after the first defeat. All matches will be played in the Bo3 format, except for the lower bracket final and the grand final, which will be played in the Bo5 format.

Tournament participants

The tournament includes eight teams that won slots through the VCT Kickoff regional qualifiers:

• G2 Esports - the winner of Americas Kickoff
• Sentinels - the second representative of America
• Edward Gaming - the best team from China
• Trace Esports - the second representative of China
• Team Vitality - the strongest team in the EMEA region
• Team Liquid - the second team from Europe
• DRX - the first representative of the Pacific region
• T1 - the second representative of the Pacific region

Match schedule and starting pairs

The first day of the competition will start on February 20, with the following opening matches:

G2 Esports vs. Trace Esports - The European team will meet the second team from China. G2 has an advantage in international competition experience, but Trace Esports is known for its unconventional style of play.

Edward Gaming vs. Team Liquid - The Chinese giant versus the European giant. Edward Gaming has already shown a stable level in 2024, while Team Liquid will try to gain a foothold among the best teams of the season.

Team Vitality vs. T1 - The French team from Europe will meet T1, which is known for its aggressive draws. Vitality will have an advantage due to their disciplined defense, but T1 can find ways to break it.

DRX vs. Sentinels - One of the most intriguing matches. DRX is the team that dominated their region, and Sentinels will try to regain their status as the best team from America.

The matches will start at 12:00 EET, and after the first round, new pairs will be determined based on the results.

Prize pool

The total prize pool of the tournament is $500 000, as well as valuable VCT points:

1st place - $250 000 + 5 VCT points

2nd place - $100 000 + 3 VCT points

3rd place - $65 000 + 2 VCT points

4th place - $35 000 + 1 VCT point

5-6 places - $15 000

7-8 places - $10 000

Exclusive awards for the audience

VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025 will offer unique bonuses for viewers who watch the matches live.

Players will receive the “Crispy” title if they watch any match between February 20 and March 1.

Riot Games has also prepared a special “Tuktuk” spray that will be available only to those who will watch the grand final on March 2.

What to expect from the tournament?

VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025 will be the first large-scale tournament of the year where it will be possible to assess the real strength of teams after the winter changes in the lineups.

This is the first international event after the 10.02 patch update, which may affect the game meta and give an advantage to those who are better able to adapt to the new conditions.

The main question is whether Sentinels and G2 Esports will be able to confirm their status as favorites, or will representatives of America and China such as Sentinels and Edward Gaming be able to put up a fight?
