The Transition Won’t Change the Game Immediately
Donlon also cautioned that the shift to the new engine won't result in immediate changes to the game’s graphics or performance.
For live-supported games, this is a complex process, but it’s necessary. However, players won’t see instant changes in VALORANT’s appearance or performance.
New Possibilities with Unreal Engine 5
Donlon added that many developers at Riot Games are optimistic about the future with Unreal Engine 5.
They might be working on something I can’t talk about yet, or on expanding the VALORANT universe with new gameplay possibilities.
She hinted, opening the door to potential future innovations and expansions of the gaming experience.
