Gen.G Esports triumphed at the TEN Valorant Asia Invitational 2024, defeating Talon Esports in the grand final. This was the debut tournament for the team's updated roster.
Debut of the Updated Team
Following a successful 2024 season, where Gen.G Esports secured three titles — VCT 2024: Pacific Stage 2, VCT 2024: Masters Shanghai, and VCT 2024: Pacific Kickoff — the team parted ways with three players. One of them returned, and two new recruits were signed. TEN Valorant Asia Invitational 2024 marked the debut event for the revamped roster, and it ended with a victory.
First Trophy
Gen.G Esports had a smooth run in the playoffs, securing first place in their group, which earned them a direct spot in the tournament final against Talon Esports. The final match was played in a best-of-three format. The first two maps were split between the teams in a hard-fought contest, but on the map Lotus, Gen.G Esports achieved a decisive victory with 13:2, winning the final 2:1 and adding yet another trophy to their collection this year.
