TYLOO and Wolves Esports eliminated from VCT 2025: China Kickoff

Two more Chinese teams exited the VCT 2025: China Kickoff following the January 19 matchday. Nova Esports and Dragon Ranger Gaming secured their second victories in the tournament, while their opponents, having suffered defeats, ended their participation, losing the chance to qualify for Masters Bangkok.

Dragon Ranger Gaming, one of the two teams that joined VCT through Ascension, continued to display strong performances in the league, claiming another victory against TYLOO at VCT 2025: China Kickoff. Dragon Ranger Gaming entered as clear favorites and proved their dominance on the battlefield, winning two maps in a row (Pearl 13:6, Haven 13:10). With this loss, TYLOO exits the tournament and heads for a break until their next competition.

Wolves Esports vs. Nova Esports

The second match of the day was more intense, requiring all three maps to determine the winner. Wolves Esports’ pick, Fracture, was won by Nova Esports with a 13:11 scoreline. On the other hand, Abyss, Nova Esports’ choice, went to Wolves Esports 13:8. However, the decider map, Split, was less competitive: Wolves Esports couldn’t secure even seven rounds, resulting in their defeat and elimination from the tournament.

 
 

The VCT 2025: China Kickoff is taking place from January 11 to 25 as a LAN event at the VCT CN Arena in Shanghai. Twelve partnered teams from the VCT program are competing for two invitations to Masters Bangkok and valuable China Points, crucial for World Championship qualification.
