“This was my last game” - NightmareSan leaves Valorant after four years of competition

The trend of professional players leaving Valorant continues. Today, it was revealed that German professional Daniel “NightmareSan” Kisling will depart from the discipline after four years of competition.

This sad news was announced by Daniel on his official Twitter account. The esports athlete wrote that yesterday was his last official match at PROJECT V Split 1 - Stage 1, against GHR Esports. Regardless of the match's outcome, NightmareSan will leave the discipline after four years of competition to focus on his future.

The match against GHReSports was probably my last official game for now. I've been competing for almost 4 years, but now I plan to focus on other things. It was a great time, thank you to everyone who was with me, and I send a lot of love to my friends.

Daniel “NightmareSan” Kisling began his journey in Valorant from the open beta test and immediately decided to compete on the professional scene. Throughout his career, Daniel has been a part of many teams, but the most famous among them is RIZON, with which he spent the last year. The professional finished in 3-4th place at Project V 2023: Split 1 Finals, and also secured third place at Project V: A1 eSports Valorant Cup #3.

It is still unknown whether NightmareSan will return to Valorant, not as a professional player but perhaps in a role such as a coach or analyst. The esports athlete does not dismiss this possibility, so we will continue to follow the official information.
