The Valorant community is saddened by the announcement that the Replication mode will not be returning anytime soon

After the recent 8.08 update, a Riot Games employee shared the company's plans regarding upcoming changes in Valorant. Among other things, it was stated that the Replication mode will not return in Act 3 of Episode 8, which has greatly disappointed players.

The Replication mode first appeared in the game back in 2021, along with patch 2.09. Its essence lies in the fact that players vote for their agent before the start of the match. After that, the system automatically selects one of the options, and all players start the match with it. Despite the mode being popular with the community, it was removed from Valorant in patch 7.0, and there is currently no information on when the developers plan to bring it back.

After yesterday's statement that the mode will not return in Act 3 of Episode 8, a large portion of players were saddened. Across various discussion platforms, the Valorant community began reminiscing about the mode and listing its advantages. Most players agreed that the mode was very fun and allowed for interesting combinations, such as blocking the Spike with 5 Sage walls.

It is still unknown whether the developers will heed the players' requests. However, if plans for the return of Replication are to be implemented, it will only be with the release of the new Episode 9. We will await official information or rumors from dataminers.
