The supreme court of the state of Santa Catarina has ordered Riot Games to restore a player's account in Valorant

A woman named Anna filed a lawsuit seeking the restoration of her account and compensation for material and moral damages. According to the decision, Riot Games had blocked the player's account without providing significant reasons.

Anna received a notification of the account block on the same day it was disabled. She reached out to Riot Games support but was not given any explanations. Riot Games, on the other hand, claimed that the account block was due to the player using third-party software. However, Anna asserts that she did not violate the game rules.

She stated that she invested $1,500 in the account and is the rightful owner of it. Therefore, she demands compensation from the organization and the reinstatement of her account, "TV FAMA #vrtx."

The court decision noted that Riot Games did not provide any evidence that the player violated the game rules. It also emphasized that the account block caused moral damage to Anna, warranting compensation for the harm. Consequently, the court ordered Riot Games to restore Anna's account by December 30, 2023. In case of non-compliance, Riot Games will be obligated to pay Anna a penalty of $100 per day.
