The Challengers League in various Valorant regions is just beginning to gain momentum, and many regional tournaments lie ahead. Today, the names of the first four participants of the upcoming split in the Korean region have been revealed.
It is worth reminding that Valorant Challengers is a tier-2 contenders league where teams compete throughout the season for the right to advance to the main Ascension tournament. There, they will fight for a chance to join the partnership program with Riot Games. The first split of the Valorant Challengers Korea 2024: Split 1 will start on February 28, 2024, and is expected to last until mid-March. Eight teams will compete for VCL points and the right to advance to the second stage of the competition.
Although the tournament is more than a month away, the first four teams that will compete have already been determined. They all received direct invitations from the organizers, thanks to their good performance in 2023.
The remaining four teams will have to go through open qualifiers VCL/2024/Korea/Split 1/Open Qualifier, the date and format of which are yet unknown.
