The Korean collective CNJ Esports has lost four players since the beginning of January 2024 and was on the verge of disbanding. Today, it became known that the last member, Jang "DaeGi" Yoon-cheol, has left the team, resulting in the collective ceasing to exist.
Interestingly, the situation with the team has not yet gained much attention in the Valorant community. DaeGi himself has only mentioned on his official Twitter account that he is now a free agent looking for a new home. Meanwhile, the organization's representatives have not commented on what is happening with the Valorant roster, instead focusing on other disciplines such as Tekken and others on their official social networks.
Jang "DaeGi" Yoon-cheol joined the team only in October 2023, before the start of the new competitive season. Although he helped the club to finish third at the Daejeon Valorant Invitational 2023, the next tournament led to the team's disbandment. The collective performed poorly at the open qualifiers for VALORANT Challengers 2024 Korea: Split 1, finishing in 9th-12th place, which resulted in losing the chance to participate in the competitive season.
The future of CNJ Esports and whether the organization plans to create a new Valorant roster remains unknown. Jang, in turn, has already stated that he is looking for a new home, so we will likely see him perform under a new banner soon.
