The security department of Tencent, responsible for ensuring safety in the game Valorant, shared statistics on the number of banned accounts and detected cheats on Chinese servers during the third quarter of this year. The numbers of user account bans are staggering.
During this period, the number of cheaters on the Chinese servers of Valorant reached extraordinarily high levels. Tencent highlighted the serious challenges that cheaters pose to the developers of anti-cheat systems and expressed determination in combating this issue. Over the third quarter of this year, more than 150,000 accounts were banned, demonstrating the activity and effectiveness of measures aimed at supporting fair play in Valorant.
In addition to the 150,000 banned accounts, 3,786 AI-based plugins and 43,521 cheat samples were detected. These figures are colossal, and it's important to consider that this only includes what has been noticed and accounts that have already been banned. The number of players who remain undetected is still unknown.
The developers also receive support from the Chinese police in the fight against cheats. You can learn about one such recent case from the article linked above.
