Team SMG wins VCT 2023 Game Changers APAC Elite and becomes the sixth participant in the women's World Championship

The grand final of the VCT 2023 Game Changers APAC Elite, a qualifying stage for the women's world championship, has just concluded. After a quick match between Rex Regum Qeon Kaguya and Team SMG, the latter clinched an easy victory with a score of 3-0 and a ticket to the upcoming VCT 2023 Game Changers Championship.

Interestingly, unknown technical errors occurred during the match. The first map, Split, ended with a score of 13-7 in favor of Team SMG. The situation repeated on the second map, Haven, but after a score of 10-5, Rex Regum Qeon Kaguya was credited with a technical defeat, resulting in an unfinished match. One of the RRQ players lost her internet connection during the match, resulting in the end of the clash.

The final map, Bind, was completely under Team SMG's control and ended with a victory with a score of 13-5.

As a result of the match, Team SMG takes first place, earning $12,000 for the team and an invitation to the upcoming world championship. Meanwhile, the girls from Rex Regum Qeon Kaguya finish the qualifiers in second place and receive a cash prize of $7,000.
